You can find love after your Minnesota divorce. My latest guest on my podcast has said, “Love is for you. Love is for the people who have the courage to look. Fortune favors the courageous and the bold.” These amazing quotes are all from the charming Dr. Duana Welch on last week’s two part series of Doing Divorce Different . This author shares tools on how to find love again. And the first step is to have the courage to put yourself in the dating market and look for someone compatible. Believe it or not, most people don’t even look. Love is for those who have the courage to date. It is not common for the love of your life to drop in your lap.
Duana walks us through the steps she took, (and they are scientifically proven) to meet the love of her life. She actually got married again on October 1st in her early 50s! She knows if she can find love you can too, and she wants to help you. To begin, Create a list of everything you want in a partner, but be realistic. Do you have the same qualities that you are looking for in a partner? For example, did you know that only 1% of the population of men are 6’4”? That is really narrowing your scope. And if you are 5’ is this really something you need? If you want someone who is fit and active and you hate working out, is this really going to be a good match?
She also states to not waste your money on a dating app for months at a time. Sign up for one month only. This tells the algorithm to keep pushing you to try and get you to sign up for another month. If you sign up for multiple, they won’t keep pushing your profile after the first month.
